Her father Zameendar Zaidi was a businessman and served as a village head (numbardar) he passed away in June 2019. Her mother Shabana Naheed is a homemaker. Yumna has two sisters, Mehreen and Alizah, and a younger brother, Muhammad Shahzeb, who is a businessman in the United States.

Yumna Zaidi’s acting journey began in 2012 with a supporting role in ARY Digital’s drama Thakan.
